Pieminister Comes to Nottingham- We Ate All the Pies

We love it when something different catches our eye and the arrival of Pieminister has really caught our attention- It's just such a shame it's been a busy March for us and we've barely spent any time around Nottingham.

Pieminister have opened up a new Restaurant on Long Row near the Old Market Square ready to satisfy us all in the way only a good traditional pie can. To our knowledge they were only available at BrewDog Nottingham up until now.

With Pies priced at a fiver for an award winning, heart warming pie it's not going to break the bank as a lunchtime treat. There's plenty to add around your pie if you choose whether you want pie, chips and peas or something altogether more unique like their intriguing sounding courgette fries.

Every pie has it's own unique name. We've seen it done elsewhere (from the Scottish Highlands to deep into the Peak District) but the name game works. I'd quite happy have a Deerstalker (Venison, bacon red wine and lentil) after a recent trip up to the Scottish Borders for the Rat Race Mighty Deerstalker event although the Saag Pie-Neer with it's Indian vegetarian twist sounds worth a try.

There are even Pies for Pudding

You can even wash it down with a good beer. Local brewery Blue Monkey provide some of the available refreshment or treat yourselves to a cocktail
