American Food In Nottingham

American food is on the rise once again and giving us some great American restaurants locally to sample. Missoula Montana Bar and Grill in the Lace Market area of the city offers diners a rustic Montana inspired experience with great steaks and some fantastic drinks options to satisfy the most discerning of late night party animal.

Another relative newcomer on the Nottingham food scene is Jim's Smokehouse in Hockley which promises to offer some great Southern-American Barbecue as you've likely seen on Man V Food and other food programs. With an imported American smoker they have the potential to offer some of the best meat this side of the Atlantic including pulled pork and beef brisket as pictured below.

If you're a fan of American ales, Junkyard on Bridlesmith Walk has a fantastic selection including a few great Black IPS's and Imperial Stouts that will leave you thirsty for more as well as a nice menu to choose from including some awesome Mac and Cheese Balls.

Recent additions to Nottingham's American food revolution include The Last Chance Saloon on Plumptre Street. It's all about Whiskey here as well as their amazing themed 'Bacon Bad' Thursday nights where you can tuck into all you can eat Bacon dishes.

Another addition to offer more American food is Red Dog Saloon where it's all about wings and ribs. We went along to Red Dog Saloon's opening night to sample what they have to offer and will definitely be heading back at some point for a review.
