On Wednesday 14th December Mod Pizza officially opened it doors to the public here in Nottingham,. We were privileged to have been invited to the opening and to sample the goods on offer. MOD Pizza - Made On Demand- is an American pizza company that started about 8 years ago in Seattle providing a community based restaurant serving reasonably priced good quality food and the rest as they say is history! I did have a chance to speak to the manager at MOD Nottingham - Dave - he was very friendly and willing to share on the ethos at MOD. I wont go into to much details but I do want to highlight a few things: Their Staff are paid well above the norm for a job of this type, catering is- and fast food catering staff especially, a low wage career. Often workers have to exist on minimum wage but not at MOD a basic crew member is on over £8 per hour!
